Telephone/Internet Scams

Please be aware there are multiple phone/internet scams circulating in the area: from the IRS looking for immediate payment by Green Dot money order or Eversource (with the same demand) to your grandchild be held in some foreign prison looking for bail money. These organization/companies do not conduct their business that way. If you do receive a phone call, or an email, and it seems like a scam, call the business directly --do not use a number provided by the caller-- and ask if the call is authentic, and go from there. In the same vein, please click here to report any internet fraud.
