The Department of Public Works will be closing Timbertop Road from Rt. 124 to Hubbard Pond/Timbertop Road intersection on Tuesday July 17, 2018, starting at 6:30 a.m. for the duration of the daylight hours to replace a 5' diameter drainage pipe and a 4' diameter pipe that spans the entire width of the roadway. In normal situations the DPW crew makes every effort to maintain one lane of travel to allow for passing mortorists however, due to the size and complexity of the project that is not an option. All residents in the Timbertop/Hubbard Pond Road area will need to exit the area after 6:30 a.m. by traveling out to either Timbertop or Hubbard Pond Road and into the Town of Rindge until the effected area of the road is re-opened allowing normal traffic patterns. New Ipswich Emergency Services has made arrangements with our neighboring towns through mutual aid to assist in the event of any emergency ( medical, fire or police related). The DPW thanks the residents for their patience and understanding during this repair.
