We consider the health and well-being of our community to be extremely important. Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, the Town Office lobby will be closed until May 4, 2020 pending updated information from the State of NH Departments of Health and Human Services and Homeland Security. The Town Office will be open by APPOINTMENT ONLY, during normal business hours until May, 2020. Please call 603-878-2772 to make an appointment. We are encouraging all residents to use online services as much as possible.

NH DMV responds to Coronavirus COVID-19 by making available registration extentions for 20-day plates and license extention options for customers who would prefer to not come in to a DMV location. Read press release here

Police Department

The New Ipswich Police Department is asking all citizens to avoid coming directly to the lobby at the Police Department to speak with an officer regarding non-emergency situations and are encouraging these reports to be made by phone by calling 603-878-2771. Read Police Chief's statement here

Fire Department

The Fire Station will be closed to the public until further notice. If you need to obtain a permit to burn you can request one at no cost by sending the following information to (Full name, address, type of permit-seasonal or brush, email and phone #.)

Building Department & Permits

We ask that you fill out the permits entirely and email them to and mail a check or money order to 661 Turnpike Rd. New Ipswich, NH 03071 Attention: Building Department. If you are unsure of the amount or have any other questions please call Lori at 878-2772 Ext 415.
